Restylane Lyft is an injectable dermal filler with lidocaine, made from “hyaluronic acid” (HA), a naturally occurring sugar found in our body. Restylane Lyft is a part of Galderma’s Restylane filler line, a variety of fillers that are made for strategic injections around the face and body. Restylane Lyft, in particular, is perfect for patients looking to contour their chin or cheeks or looking to add volume in the back of their hands in order to remove any visible veins and add volume to the area.
Restylane Lyft is made from a naturally occurring sugar, found in our own bodies, called hyaluronic acid, a jelly-like substance that creates the volume found under our skin in between the bone. Because Restylane Lyft is made from hyaluronic acid, it is safe to inject into our bodies as it will slowly be metabolized by our own bodies in the period of 2 years. Since the filler is also made from HA, it can also be reversed and dissolved safely in case the patient does not like the results as given by the filler treatment.
When a patient comes into Glow Aesthetic Center, they are first evaluated through a free consultation with one of our experienced practitioners. From there, they are then given a customized treatment plan that addresses their goals and areas of concern. The patient may choose to continue with treatment from there. During a Restylane Lyft treatment, the patient is numbed using a specially formulated numbing cream at no cost to the patient to help relieve any discomfort that may happen during the injections. Restylane Lyft is then strategically injected into the patient’s areas of concern using a needle or cannula.
Restylane Lyft is indicated to last up to 18 months on the label, however, patients do see continued results past the 18-month mark dependent on how fast your body, in particular, metabolizes the filler. Just because the filler is indicated to last 18-months, it does not necessarily mean that at 18 months the filler will just disappear. The filler is actually metabolized in our own bodies in a linear fashion, meaning that as time goes by, the filler is slowly dissolving in our body at a mostly equal pace. An example of this would be at 9 months, most patients would see a 50% reduction of the filler and effects of the treatment. Therefore, it is recommended for patients to periodically return for an additional filler treatment in order to maximize results.
