How Long Does It Take for ThermiVa to Work?

ThermiVa is a procedure for women’s intimate wellness (also known as “vaginal rejuvenation”) that helps combat some of the problems many women face as they age, including vaginal dryness, laxity, and orgasmic dysfunction. While some clients at Glow Aesthetic Center report immediate results, it may take up to two weeks for the full effects to arise. We recommend undergoing the treatment three times, with sessions scheduled a month apart. Results can vary, but immediate results typically last for 12 months and longer!

The length of time it takes for ThermiVa to produce results depends on several factors, including how many sessions you undergo, your body type, and your age. At Glow Aesthetic Center, we provide all our clients with a physical consultation to learn more about their specific goals and to better estimate how long it may take before you start seeing results.

If you are ready to experience vaginal rejuvenation and feel comfortable with your body again, get in touch with our office. We’re available by phone at (818) 905-8815, or you can schedule your consultation online by clicking on our Book an Appointment page.

How ThermiVa Works

One of the most important proteins in your body (and certainly the most abundant) is collagen. It is the magic element that makes your skin springy, elastic, and firm. However, our bodies produce less collagen as we age, and events like childbirth can also affect its production. ThermiVa uses radio frequencies to stimulate the production of collagen in your skin. This helps provide a firmer structure for vaginal muscles, increasing sexual satisfaction.

The treatment is provided at your comfort level and is non-invasive. Rather than any kind of injection, it uses radio waves aimed at the area. Most clients report that it feels similar to a warm massage. There is no pain, and the session typically lasts between half-hour and 45 minutes.

Clients Who Use ThermiVa

Though childbirth and aging are common reasons why many women seek vaginal rejuvenation, they are by no means the only ones! Clients from every walk of life can use ThermiVa. You might seek a ThermiVa vaginal rejuvenation treatment if you:

  • Suffer from urinary incontinence
  • Have an overactive bladder in your post-menopausal years
  • Suffer from chronic vaginitis
  • Are unable to take hormones due to breast cancer
  • Have experienced damage during intercourse

In addition to increasing sexual satisfaction, ThermiVa’s ability to stimulate the development of collagen means stronger and firmer skin around the area. This has been reported to help women going through menopause, especially when experiencing symptoms like frequent urinary tract infections or other vaginal infections.

Why ThermiVa Is Superior to Other Treatments

There are other ways of rejuvenating vaginal tissue, including laser treatments. However, ThermiVa has several advantages. Aside from being totally painless, ThermiVa also targets the labia majora and labia minora—areas otherwise ignored by laser treatments. A more comprehensive rejuvenation leads to better, longer-lasting results.

Like laser treatments, ThermiVa also:

  • Boosts tissue volume
  • Increases firmness
  • Restores functionality
  • Increases sensations
  • Improves appearance

However, ThermiVa does all of this without requiring anesthesia and without being invasive. The treatment also has fewer risks than laser treatments or hormone therapy and does not require any downtime. After your session, you can go about your life without having to worry about pesky recovery times.

How to Prepare for Your ThermiVa Treatment

The ThermiVa system does not require any special preparation. However, you should ensure that the area is cleanly shaved and any jewelry has been removed. The medical staff at Glow Aesthetic Center also asks that you hydrate properly 24 hours before your treatment (i.e. drink lots of water the day before). Finally, the area needs to be clean and dry for maximum effect. That means no lotions or makeup.

If you wish to undergo laser treatments or waxing services, schedule these at least 5-7 days before your scheduled ThermiVa session. Such services can cause irritation to the vaginal area, complicating the ThermiVa treatment.
